Drying is production of a dried solid by removal of
liquid by evaporation, through supply of heat. The

Liquid in the form of water, solvent or another form
is driven out of a semi-solid via convection, air
applied heat, which also carries away the vapour as
humidity. Semi-solid materials range from granules,
cakes and powders to sludges, slurries, and solutions.
